I took some time several months ago browsing in a bookstore. One of the books I came across was The $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau. Later I downloaded the preview from the iBooks store, then ultimately ended up purchasing the book on iBooks. I have often started reading a book only to go on to start reading a different book or get busy and not finish the book for a long time (if ever). But in the case of The $100 Startup, I read it in a relatively short period of time (days, rather than months or years)!
In this book, Chris Guillebeau demonstrates that a profitable business can be started very simply and with a very small amount of startup financial investment. In a world of technology and the internet, there are inexpensive ways to go about starting a new business. Chris goes through many important steps and considerations when it comes to starting a business, illustrating the concepts with many stories of real-life success stories. Along with great advice about starting a business without lots of money, this book is also full of inspirational stories!
Chris’ writing style is very conversational and easy to read. He doesn’t spill out a bunch of technical jargon. You don’t need an MBA in order to be able to understand the concepts and ideas presented in this book!
